Wow, what a busy term we have had! This term in 1/2HS we have been writing poems. The children were required to choose an animal and write a ‘Who Am I Riddle’.
Follow the Riddle to guess the animal!
Dear Parents
It is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank you for all you have done, and continue to do, to ensure that our school is able to provide the care, support, quality learning and teamwork that has become the benchmark for who we are, and how we work as a community. Your dedication to your children in very challenging circumstances is admirable. Some of you are working long hours to support your workplace as well as your children. Some of you are trying to raise younger children while also supporting your school aged children with their learning. Others of you are facing challenges beyond those that we know. Whatever your circumstances, please know that we see you – we see the hours you give, the patience you show, the exhaustion you feel and the dedication you give to your children. We talk about the resilience our children are building during this challenging time – know that we see your resilience too. When we tell you that we are walking this journey with you – know that we truly are! We are on the other side of every email you send, every phone call you have, every successful and unsuccessful google meet you try so hard to attend. We are here! You may not always feel that we are here, but we are. When things are tough, let us know so that we can bring our BEST to support you and your children in any way we can. But for now, take a break. If your children want to wear their pyjamas all day - and you might too – know that there are almost certainly others who are taking the opportunity to do the same! None of our stories and circumstances are the same, but our commitment to each child in our care certainly is. We want you to know that we will continue to reach out to offer support because we care.
For now, we will all take this opportunity to switch off from school life as best we can, to relax and rejuvenate for the last term of the year when we will hopefully all be back at school to finish the year together. Please look after yourselves and each other.
Kind regards
Lisa Broeren

BreastScreen Victoria Van
From 18 October – 22 October 2021, BreastScreen Victoria’s hot pink van will return to Moe to provide free breast screens to the community.
Women aged between 50 and 74 should have a free breast screen every two years. They are the best way to find breast cancer early, before there are symptoms and when treatment is most successful.
All breast screens are with a female radiographer, in a friendly and safe environment. You don’t need a doctor’s referral or Medicare card, and screens only take 10 minutes.
The van will be at Coles Supermarket – 92 Albert Street, Moe.
Appointments for the Moe van can be made online at breastscreen.org.au or by calling 13 20 50.
