News from Grade 1/2A
1/2A loves being back at school and ready to learn!
We are so excited and grateful that we are at school with our friends for another term full of learning!
In RE we are learning that we are unique and special - and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We read the book, “A Colour of his Own” by Leo Lionni. Then we reflected on the slides from KidsHelpLine on “Being OK with Being Different”. Why would we want to blend into everything around us when we can be bold and unique? To express this metaphor we used water colour paints to make our unique coloured chameleon, using colours that had a special meaning to us.
We are also starting our writing unit on Poetry, and whilst we have only learnt about one poem type, we are already producing artistic and creative bliss! Take a sneak peek at our early drafts, and we know that our parents will eagerly await our weekly published poem on SeeSaw!
