Living Things
The Foundation students have been studying ‘Living Things’ in Term 2. First we found out how to classify living things, then we turned our attention to bees where we learnt all about the buzzing creatures and why they are so important to our world.
To complement our learning at school, Dean Lawrence visited the children. Dean is a beekeeper who came to school and told us loads of interesting facts about bees as well as the process of harvesting honey.
Finally, we visited Myuna Farm in Doveton. Here we were able to see, pat and feed many farm animals. We learned about living on a farm and even got to ride a pony.
