Baked Goods Stall

It is that time of the year again and our annual school fete is fast approaching.

We will be having our very popular baked goods stall and we need your help to make it a great success.

If you don’t have time to bake, we always appreciate made up bags of lollies to sell.

Please label any homemade goods with the ingredients.

Below is a list of ideas, but anything would be greatly appreciated.

Lemon slice, Cherry ripe slice, Mars Bar slice, Licorice Allsorts slice, Choc caramel slice, Gluten free cakes, Sponge cake (no fresh cream), Ginger Fluff sponge (no fresh cream), Cupcakes, Chocolate crackles, Honey joys, YoYo biscuits. Any type of cake, slice or biscuits will be gratefully accepted.

Baked goods need to be delivered to the Baked Goods stall on Fete Day

 (20th November) Between 8am-10am

We are also seeking Scones for the Devonshire tea, so if you are able to bake a batch we would very much appreciate it.  Simple recipe below;

  • 3 1/2 cups self raising flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 1 cup thickened cream
  • 1 cup lemonade
  • Preheat oven to 200°C/390°F (180°C fan)
  • Combine the flour, cream and lemonade in a bowl and mix until flour is mostly combined. Do not over mix!
  • Turn out onto a floured surface, and knead gently, roll out to 1" thick
  • Use a 6 cm/2.5" round cutter to cut rounds or knife to cut into squares
  • Brush the tops lightly with milk
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden on top
