Confirmation
Last night we celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with some of our Year 6 students and their families. It was such a beautiful celebration of our faith as our students and families joined with some of the students and their families from St Kieran’s and St Paul’s. Together with our wonderful St Mary’s school choir, Bishop Greg provided us with a beautiful, spiritual celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. There is such a warmth in the way Bishop Greg relates to all people and this was evident in the way he shared our faith with those present last night. I received several messages of gratitude from a range of people who attended, saying it was the most beautiful Confirmation sacrament they had ever attended. I am extremely proud of our newly confirmed Year 6 students and the way they participated so enthusiastically in the ceremony. I am also very proud of our wonderful school choir who came out on a cold, wet night to provide such beautiful music for our ceremony. Thank you to Bek Warner, our music teacher, Noah Warner who accompanied on guitar and Sophy Morley who led the music and played for us. A special thank you must also go to our wonderful families who brought their children to Mass last night to perform in the choir. This was a fantastic commitment to your children and to our school. A huge and heartfelt thank you to Bishop Greg, Fr Daniel and Fr Vin for providing such a wonderful celebration.
Congratulations to the following students on their Confirmation yesterday;
Zade, Caitlin, Raymond, Joshua, Ben, Amelie, Annaliese, Jack, Xavier, Isabella, Harrison and Lochie.
