Principal's Report
Dear Parents,
Well, we made it! We are at the end of a very unique and challenging term and I thank you all most sincerely for your commitment, patience, support and dedication to ensure that this term has been all we could enable it to be. With the recent news that we will all be back together at the end of the holidays, we are so excited that we will see the children back with us on Monday October 5. The children will need to be dropped off at the Kiss and Go and staff will be there to take their temperature with a contactless thermometer, before they go to class. At the end of each day, we will continue to have the staggered pick up times, with Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students, and their siblings, being picked up through Kiss and Go at 2.45pm and the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students being picked up at 3.15pm also through the Kiss and Go. This enables us to continue to provide a safe, supportive drop off and pick up system for all children. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you require anything different for your child when dropping them off or picking them up.
Each morning this term, as I stood at the front of the school with my trusty thermometer to temperature test the children who were attending school, I have watched the cold, wet, dark season of Winter giving way to the sunny, warmer days, brighter, lighter, more colourful season of Spring. With the welcome news that we are again able to venture out of our homes to spend time with loved ones we haven’t seen for what has potentially amounted to months, with parks and sporting facilities reopening and so many changes continuing to happen, we are grateful that we are moving forward with tentative, positive steps.
I hope and pray that we will all continue to be well and that we will all be back together to conclude this year with renewed hope and positivity for all life has to offer. As a community we must be proud of the commitment we have made to provide a safe environment for our children and the resilience we have shown during these times.
I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and well deserved holiday where you can relax, rejuvenate and recharge ready for the new term to begin. We are all excited that we can start the new term together with all of our students and staff back together again.
Take care of yourselves and each other.
Kind regards,
Lisa Broeren
