This week the Year 2’s has been working on extending our sentences by adding an adverb.
An Adverb is a word that adds to a verb (a doing word). It describes a verb.
Adverbs give us more information about verbs.
Adverbs add to a verb by giving us information like how, when, where, or why the action is happening.
Here are some examples of sentences with adverbs from our class:
