Italian Day
Buongiorno a tutti,
Firstly, grazie to all the parents who encouraged their children to dress up for Italian day. The costumes were spectacular, unique and entertaining and all reflected the theme for the day, Italiano! The parade, to Italian music of course, was colourful and engaging as everyone showed off their wonderful costumes.

Prior to Italian Day students from Year 3 to 6, explored some of the cultural components of Italy, including food, landmarks and people. They then created a poster as a medium for sharing the information that they had researched. These are displayed in the main corridor of the school. Here is some of their work.
Students were engaged in various Italian activities throughout the day. Our Year Six students taught our younger students how to play bocce and our junior classes made Italian donuts called zeppole. Colourful masks graced many faces and mosaic tiles made of pasta decorated various classrooms.
