Principal Report
Dear Parents,
National Child Protection Week: September 7–14, 2025
Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action
This year, National Child Protection Week reminds us that while conversations about child safety are important, they are only the beginning. The real difference is made when those conversations inspire us to take action. Together, as parents, staff, and community, we have the power to create safe, nurturing environments where every child feels heard, supported, and genuinely protected.
Thank you for the role you play in helping us build a culture of safety and care. Your support helps ensure that every child in our school can grow and flourish.
We invite you to watch a special message from Bishop Greg Bennet and Mr. Paul Velten (Director of Catholic Education):

Father’s Day Celebration
A heartfelt thank you to all the dads, grandfathers, and special father figures who joined us on Monday for our Father’s Day celebration. The morning began with a sausage sizzle breakfast, and it was such a joy to see so many happy faces enjoying time together over a simple but much-loved sausage in bread!
After breakfast, our children proudly brought their dads into the church for a beautiful Prayer Gathering. It was a moving moment to celebrate and give thanks for the love, guidance, and care that dads bring to their families and to our community. Thank you for being part of such a memorable morning. We loved sharing it with you.
A Huge Thank You to Our Craft Ladies
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Craft Ladies for the incredible time, effort, and creativity they dedicated to preparing our Father’s Day Stall and raffle. From the careful selection and wrapping of gifts to the organisation of the raffle prizes, every detail was thoughtfully prepared to make the day special for our children and their dads.
The stall was a huge success, and it was wonderful to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they chose the perfect gift for their dad or special person. The feedback we have received from families has been overwhelmingly positive, with many dads commenting that the gift they received from the stall was their absolute favourite this year. This is a true credit to the hard work, generosity, and commitment of our Craft Ladies.
Beyond the gifts themselves, the stall and raffle helped create lasting memories for our students and their families. These moments of joy, surprise, and gratitude are what make our school community so special. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the Craft Ladies, who continually give their time and talents to support our school and enrich the experiences of our children.
On behalf of the staff, students, and families, we sincerely thank you for making this Father’s Day one to remember.
Footy Day Fun
What a day of colour, energy, and team spirit! Today our school came alive as students proudly wore their team colours and showed their passion for footy.
A highlight was the team parade. In a touching display of friendship and inclusivity, when one child began their lap as the only supporter of their team, several friends quickly joined in to walk alongside them. It was a beautiful reminder of the kindness and care that shines through in our school community where everyone is included, and no one is left out.
Thank you to all the families who helped get their children ready for the day with jumpers, scarves, and face paint. It truly made the celebration so special.
Just a reminder that in Term 4 hats need to be worn at school. If you need to get a new hat we have some in the uniform shop. The wearing of hats begins at the start of Term 4.
Kind regards
Lisa
