Principal's Report
Dear Parents
As the excitement of holidays approaches, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for a wonderful start to the 2021 school year. It has been a time of both uncertainty, but overwhelmingly a time of great achievement as our students settled so beautifully into the school year. The partnership between families and the school provides a rich opportunity for your children to thrive. The Parent, Student, Teacher interviews that were held recently were a great success with teachers feeling very positive about the partnerships created with you on behalf of your children. We look forward to what the rest of the year will bring for your children as they strive to be the BEST that they can be. They are doing this by Building Relationships, Expecting Excellence in Everything, Staying Safe Everywhere and Taking Responsibility for their Learning.
Recently several of our students received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The evening was a wonderful and beautiful celebration of our faith where families gathered to share this special time with their child. As we come to the end of our Lenten journey and begin to prepare for Easter, this celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation reminds us that God is always with us and ready to forgive us when we have made mistakes and hurt ourselves or others. The children showed great maturity and reverence throughout the ceremony and we thank their families and our priests for being such an important part of this celebration.
On behalf of St Mary’s staff, I wish you all a wonderful holiday. May whatever you do bring you joy, peace, moments to cherish and time to simply be in the moment, celebrating life with your family.
Kind regards
Lisa Broeren
