Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a wonderful and eventful fortnight in our school community, marked by rich learning experiences, celebrations of faith, and meaningful connections.
This week, we are delighted to support and celebrate with our students who are receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we commend them for the reverence and maturity with which they have prepared. We ask that you continue to keep these young people in your prayers during this special time.
Over the past week, we joined Catholic schools across the state in recognising Catholic Education Week. The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” invites us all to reflect on the role we play in bringing hope and positivity to our world and to one another. We encourage you to visit the school to view the stunning display created by our gifted art teacher, Kim Nelson, together with our talented students. It beautifully captures the spirit of this year’s theme and is a testament to the creativity and thoughtfulness of our school community.
All students recently took part in a St John First Aid incursion, gaining practical skills and knowledge to help keep themselves and others safe. These sessions were age appropriate and hands on, and we were impressed by the enthusiasm and engagement of our students throughout.
We have also greatly enjoyed welcoming children from our local kindergartens over the past few weeks. These visits provide a valuable opportunity for our future students to explore our learning environment and begin building positive relationships. We look forward to continuing these visits in the weeks ahead.
Last week, we took time to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional contribution of our Education Support Officers (ESOs) as part of Education Support Officer Day. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to our students is truly valued. A special morning tea was held in their honour, and each ESO received a small token of appreciation as a gesture of our heartfelt thanks.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child’s education. It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant, faith-filled learning community.
Warm regards,
Lisa
On Friday 16th of May, we celebrated the wonderful ESO's in our school with a special morning tea. We would like to thank them again for the fabulous work they do with our students, we really do appreciate you all.
Our Foundation students have recently welcomed these gorgeous chickens to our school.
They have been monitoring them for a week and a half now and have watched the progression from eggs hatching into cute little chicks.
All the students have been very engaging with this experiment.
Our P&F group have arranged a Pie Drive through Morwell bakery Out of Dough.
This is a great way to fill the freezer with a quick meal option for a busy night!
All money raised is used to purchase additional resources for our children's education.
