Dear Parents,
We have had a very busy couple of weeks of learning and fun at school. The children have settled back into school with renewed enthusiasm for learning and being with their friends again.
We are still waiting for each new update to enable us to provide as many opportunities for our children as we can. We are preparing the children for their Confirmation with several plans in place to cater for the potentially changing restrictions. We have excursions in the planning stage, again ensuring we are following all COVID restrictions and planning in case we are able to offer more should the restrictions ease further. We are also planning our Year 6 graduation ceremony, dependent on the restrictions that will be in place at that time.
We are very excited to be able to offer our Foundation Transition Days on four Tuesdays: November 17, 24, December 1 and 8. We are looking forward to welcoming our new students for next year.
The children will be finishing school for the year on Wednesday December 16 and we will be having staff planning days on the Thursday and Friday, December 17 and 18. At this stage we are not sure what will happen about an end of year Mass and any celebrations that may accompany the Mass. Rest assured that we will let you know as soon as we hear anything further.
Again, I thank you all for your ongoing support regarding all aspects of your child’s education. We are currently in the process of creating the classes for next year and I thank you for the way you have engaged in this process with your children. We are committed to ensuring each child has someone in their class who will enhance their opportunity to learn and to enjoy the school day. This is a very challenging task and we all work together to ensure we have each child in the right classroom environment to give them the greatest chance of success.
I hope you are all enjoying these beautiful, sunny days.
Kind regards
Lisa Broeren
Principal
The students of 3/4B have been like a bunch of busy bees since returning to school this term! We’ve tackled some challenging topics in our learning, but 3/4B have continued to show a desire to try their hardest and have a go. We’ve done all kinds of things from all across the curriculum, exploring things like fractions, poetry, art and All Saints Day.
In between all our learning, we’ve made sure to participate in a number of fun and exciting activities. We were fortunate enough to have a Zoom call with someone from Scienceworks, who taught us all about how rockets work! Footy Day and Book Day were also fun-filled days where students got into character by doing some spectacular dress ups! We’ve even had some time in the afternoons to learn some new games like chess, which all have enjoyed!
